Do you know how many more ways there are to procrastinate in Ireland than at Holy Cross? I don't have an exact number, but a lot. At Holy Cross, your only real options are being in your room, going to the gym, or sitting at Cool Beans for hours. After a while you kind of exhaust all these choices and eventually all there is left to do is get your work done. I have a seriously bad case of procrastination and only now am I finally beating this horrible disease. City centre, societies, cooking, ryanair.com . . . somehow assignments get pushed way down to the bottom of the list. It got so bad this afternoon that I actually typed into google "best ways to not procrastinate." Google has been known to answer all of my burning questions, so I wasn't surprised to actually find a great website. Tip #1 - Recognize that there is more pain in procrastinating than not. So true! I just sat down, focused, and almost finished my entire Folklore paper in a few hours. And guess what? As I suspected, it wasn't even that painful. Now I just have to remember this feeling of relief and happiness I am overcome with knowing I almost finished 1 out of my 7 remaining assignments today. Technically I finished 2. I had a Spanish test this morning that probably would have been defined as a quiz to any Holy Cross professor. But I'm not complaining!
Time to finish off the paper, and maybe even start another. I'm in the zone!
Slan!
I am glad we are the beneficiaries of your procrastinating because it seems like we got a blog post out of it!
