I am so close to being done with all my school work it's not even funny. I can literally see the finish line and I am one test and one paper away from crossing it. Today, I took my Science and Society final exam. While Science is certainly not my best subject (AP Environmental Science - worst mistake of my life), it was a lecture-based class so I got through my Holy Cross science requirement without any type of lab work, which is all I wanted!
Now I get a mini-summer vacation for 2 weeks until I start studying for my Social Theory exam, which is not until May 16. For now, though, I plan to not think about it at all and do absolutely ZERO work for the time being. What am I going to do instead? Good question. Lots of reading, some day trips, and enjoying Cork while it's still mine. I really wanted to fit in a weekend trip to Edinburgh, but at this point it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I was a little disappointed, but I think it will be nice to reconnect with Cork a little bit. After my big Italy trip, I feel like I haven't just enjoyed Cork in a while, so I am definitely looking forward to totally chilling out in the wonderful weather and celebrating the fact that it's almost summa' time!
Slan!
P.S. I have a major b'day shoutout to the best Godmother in the world!
LA-BREITHE MHAITH AGAT (Happy Birthday in Irish!) MARY FRAN! HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Enjoy the next couple of weeks in and around Cork. I'm sure it will be bittersweet to do and see things for "one last time." Soon you will be leaving one home to return to another . . . and we will be waiting for you with open arms! xoxo
