May 1 . . . . are you kidding me?! MAY?! When did that happen?! My family was just here visiting in March, and yet that was somehow already 6 or 7 weeks ago. Unbelievable!
I know I'm backtracking a little, but I completely forgot to talk about Easter! I hope everyone had a great Easter holiday last weekend! Mine was actually quite lovely! Kristin, Tracie, Anne, and I planned ahead to have brunch in Tracie and Anne's apartment Easter morning before going to church. Anne made the most amazing challah bread french toast, and I made scrambled eggs. So delicious! Following church, the day was filled with a little bit of studying for my Science test, but I made sure to pick up a chocolate bunny the day before to enjoy on my study breaks! Around 7pm, the four of us went into town for dinner. Anne's parents were so generous and offered to treat us to an Easter dinner, so we decided to try a new restaurant, the Cornstore. Such a good choice!
Easter was everything it should be - good food and good company! I absolutely love Thanksgiving and Easter at home because I get to see extended family, and those were the two big holidays I missed out on while being abroad this year. So I'm glad we did something special for each to still make them memorable.
Slan!
